December 2005 - January 2006
We kicked off the holidays with the arrival of our son Benjamin.
Needless to say not much has been going on with the layout.
I did manager to finish the wiring of the staging yard and on New Years
Day it was moved over and is now sitting on it's benchwork. The return
loop is in place and just needs a little more support before I connect the rails
to the wye turnout and thus to the staging yard.
A friend of mine gave me a second power supply so I can wire the layout
with a second power district. I want a 3rd before it's all said and
done...maybe a 4th. We'll see.
The train show season for the winter has wrapped up. I worked the
Plano train show for the NMRA/LSR table. Between that and the clinic that
I taught I really didn't get to roam around much. Looked like a pretty
good show from what I saw.
We've started planning the April Division Meet and it's going really
well. I hope that trend continues. If so, I might get to work on the
layout some more.
